Isumbras Took IV was a Hobbit of the Shire and its twenty-eighth Thain. He was also one of the many uncles of Bilbo Baggins.

Biography Edit

Isumbras was the third child of Gerontius Took and Adamanta Chubb. He came from a large family of eleven other brothers and sisters: Isengrim, Hildigard, Hildigrim, Hildifons, Isembard, Hildibrand, Belladonna, Donnamira, Mirabella, and Isengar. He was the father of Fortinbras Took and the grandfather of Ferumbras Took. As Thain, he ruled from TA 2930 to his death in TA 2939.[1]
