Ishmalog was a valley fleetingly mentioned in Tal-Elmar's tale.
History[]
Ishmalog was the scene of a battle between the "Fell Folk of the East" and the army of the North King, which inspired songs remembered for generations afterwards. The battle was won by the far more numerous host of the North King, despite their opponents' better weapons.[1] The position of Ishmalog is unspecified; it was likely near the towns of Agar and Udul, mentioned in the same tale, and thus could be identified with the southern Vales of Anduin.
