Isengrim I Took was a Hobbit of the Shire, who held the title of Shire-thain.
History[]
Isengrim lived and held the title of Shire-thain in a period between SR 740 and SR 1083. During this period there is a gap in the Took family genealogy; thus, his existence is attested only by the fact that he was the namesake of Isengrim II and Isengrim III.[1][2]
