Hyarmentir was a mountain southeast of Valinor in Aman.
History[]
Hyarmentir was the highest mountain peak in southern Aman. Ungoliant's lair was located south of it.[1] Before they destroyed the Two Trees, Melkor and Ungoliant gazed upon the bliss of the Blessed Realm from one of its highest peak.[2]
Etymology[]
Hyarmentir is a Quenya word that meant 'South Watch'.[3]
