
Holly Ordway, Ph.D. is the author of Tolkien's Modern Reading: Middle-earth Beyond the Reader (2021), which thoroughly examines the contemporary literature that J.R.R. Tolkien read in his lifetime. This book won the Mythopoeic Society's 2022 Scholarship Award in Inklings Studies.[1]
In 2023, she finished writing Tolkien's Faith: A Spiritual Biography, the first published biography to focus on Tolkien's faith.
She teaches apologetics as a Visiting Professor at Houston Christian University in Houston, Texas. She is among many Tolkien experts who have guest-lectured at Marquette University[2] in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, home of the largest American Tolkien-collection. Ordway has also contributed to works concerning Tolkien's close friend, C.S. Lewis.
