Hiril was an Edain woman of the House of Bëor during the First Age. She was the daughter of Barahir and Emeldir, and the sister of Beren.[1] Nothing else is known about her.
Etymology[]
Hiril is a name in Sindarin meaning "lady". It contains an abbreviation of the suffix -iel ("daughter; feminine suffix")[2] appended to hîr ("lord, master").[3][4]
