At the time of Tar-Palantir's death, the High Priest of Númenor was a member of the Faithful, and supported Míriel's claim to the throne. Despite this, he was unable to prevent Ar-Pharazôn's usurpation, and continued in steadfastness to the Valar even as persecution of the Faithful increased.
Behind the scenes[]
He first appears in the TV series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season Two, and since no High Priest is described in the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, the character is considered non-canonical. He is portrayed by William Chubb.
