Hanstovánen, also known as Amnor, was a shore near Alqaluntë in Valinor[1] that was the beaching place of the ship Mornië.[2]
It was located on the shores of Haerast in northeastern Aman.[3]
History[]
This was where Mornië took sail into to the land of Avralin, east of the Pelóri[4] after the souls of Men were judged. It was also envisioned as the site of the Prophecy of Mandos.[2]
Shortly after the flight of the Noldor, a servant of Mandos saw the Kinslaying at Alqualondë from here, and confirmed to the other Valar that the Noldor had fled.[1]
In other versions[]
Hanstovánen had initially been called Mornien, Mornielta, Vane, or Vone Hansto.[5]
