The Grey Wood was a small wooded area between the Warning beacon of Amon Dîn and Mount Mindolluin, just outside the Stonewain Valley and Drúadan Forest.[1]
History[]
During the War of the Ring, the Drúedain revealed the way through the Stonewain Valley to King Théoden and the Rohirrim and they passed through the Grey Wood and on to Minas Tirith. After the war, King Aragorn II Elessar came to the Grey Wood and there granted Ghân-buri-Ghân and his people the Drúadan Forest to dwell in undisturbed.[2][3]
