Gino Acevedo was a Senior Prosthetics supervisor at Weta Workshop and visual creature special effects art director at Weta Digital in the production of Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings film trilogy. Some of his work from the conceptualization stages of the production is featured in Gary Russell's film guides.

He played the dwarf-lord Sindri (a non-canon name) in the prologue to the first film, The Fellowship of the Ring. Towards the end of The Return of the King, he played a Corsair.

Acevedo later served on the production of The Hobbit trilogy (2012 - 2014) as a textures supervisor of Weta Digital.

He has been involved with other films Weta Digital participated in, such as James Cameron's Avatar (2009), Prometheus (2012), Iron Man 3, Man of Steel (2013), and Steven Spielberg's The BFG (2016).
