Gilim was a name given to a Giant in The Tale of Tinúviel, in The Book of Lost Tales Part Two. His name in Sindarin meant "Winter".[1]
Another named Giant in the same story was Nan. Gilim and Nan are the only two named giants in the history of the legendarium.[1]
