Gamil Zirak was a Dwarven smith, known as the master of Telchar of Nogrod in the early First Age. Gamil was a great craftsman, whose work was found in the treasuries of Elu Thingol. He was commonly referred to as Zirak the Old.[1]

Etymology

Zirak and Gamil are Khuzdul words, meaning "spike" or "silver" and "old" respectively.[citation needed]
