Maybe its just me but I cant find a single battle of here that the forces of Morgoth or Sauron or the Witch king won.HaloSpartan-44 (talk) 11:20, September 8, 2017 (UTC)

Oh there were plenty of instances where Morgoth and Sauron achieved victories, though more emphasis does seem to be placed on the conflicts where they lost. --Voltron23 (talk) 06:12, February 18, 2017 (UTC)

A cute topic. Morgoth was victorious both at the Battle of Unnumbered Tears and the Dagor Bragollach before it; do those ring any bells? The Witch-king's forces won whenever they overtook Osgiliath (which would have certainly involved a battle).

The Sack of Nargothrond and Fall of Gondolin were pretty successful, too. The destruction of these cities were vital to Morgoth's forces.  - Darkchylde  Talk  Contribs  23:38,2/18/2017

You guys are right, this is a stupid thread. I recently read the silmarilian (sorry if I spelt it wrong) and the children of Hurin. Morgoth is very successful in his wars and the Witch King manged to take down the entire kingdom of Arnor. Maybe it just seems like Sauron loses every battle.HaloSpartan-44 (talk) 22:46, September 7, 2017 (UTC)
