Forums: Index > Fellowship > Non canon information

Ok, ive been doing a lot of contributing and editing articles rounf here, and I just can't help but notice that you people who are clueless about LOTR should stop contributing non-canon, like for example. The Battle for Middle Earth II video game came out a while ago and your all editing articles since with stuff like: Goblins ride spiders like in BFME. Tolkiën never specified that. And another example: Morgomir is the Witch-King's sidekick. Like Lurtz, Morgomir is made up for the game. So all of you who never read the book, please stop contributing. Im the one who knows the difference between chocolate (Canon) and crap (Non-Canon), and im the one who has to clean it up. Any article that includes info from BFME, should be removed, unless if it is actual canon. The Evil O'malley 20:49, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

I think that previously, the active users had agreed that anything official part of Tolkien's Legendarium, the films, official games etc. are allowed on this wiki but should clearly state where that information came from. We however do not allow any completely made up stories or characters, this is considered fanon.-- KingAragorn  talk  contribs  edits  email  21:17, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
