The First Eastfarthing Troop was a group of Shiriffs formed during Sharkey's rule over the Shire during the War of the Ring.
History[]
The troop was based in the great Sheriff-house in the town of Frogmorton on the Great East Road. Their numbers were unknown, but growing with many in against their will, probably forced into service by threat of violence or imprisonment by Sharkey's men. They tried to arrest Frodo and company while on their way back to Bag End, but gave up at the Three Farthing Stone. [1]
