Fire and Water is the first soundtrack of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.
It is the score for the opening titles of the film and for the burning of Lake-town. It is the first Hobbit opening title sequence that does not feature the Shire theme, instead a variant of Smaug's theme blasts over the "The Hobbit" title to set the tone for the opening. The sequence features Smaug's theme in battle with the Girion/Black Arrow theme, as well as Bard's theme played heroically for the first time. "The Battle of the Five Armies" title display is scored with the Erebor theme, after a haunting choral rendition of Smaug's theme.
