Fire-Drake - LOTR The Card Game

Biography[]

The Fire-Drake is a wingless Fire-Drake who has taken up residence in the Dwarven mines of the Iron Hills. After the player's defeat him in The King's Quest scenario, the dying dragon curses the heroes by telling them his mother will avenge him destroying them and the lands of the Wilderland.

The Fire-Drake's armored scales are strong enough to shrug off all but heavy attackers. Since he is a dragon youngling his scales are not as harden as adult dragons, which allows the player's heroes to kill him without enchanted weapons. His teeth and claws are deadly to any warrior who gets too close to him. Though not fully grown, his massive size is still enough to crush people as if they were made of straw. But most the dangerous weapon is the fire breath that can reduce warriors to ash in a matter of seconds.

Strategy[]

The Fire-Drake biggest threat to the players is his attack strength and special abilities. The Fire-Drake gains strength the more players there are. The best way to defend against him is to either use characters with 4 or more defense (attachment buffs help a lot) to defend or sacrifice a weaker ally. To defeat him, it is best to use either many 2-3 attack strength characters or with a few high attack characters. The Fire-Drake can make an attack to every player whenever the active location is explored, so it is best to have many allies to sacrifice or strong defenders; having attachments or characters who can reduce the threat of location or explore locations in the staging area is a great help.
