Gimli's "walking axe" was the longest weapon used by the Dwarf Gimli (and by his father, Glóin, before him) in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy.
Next to his battle axe, the weapon Gimli used most in these films is his walking axe, which he used against the Warg-riders in defense of the Rohirrim villagers. It was a long wooden handle with a single axe-blade at the top. The straight metal shaft on the blade let Gimli grasp it and use it as a walking staff.
In The Hobbit film trilogy, the axe is shown to have first belonged to Glóin, who carries it throughout the Quest of Erebor.
