Fatty Lumpkin was one of Tom Bombadil's ponies.

When Frodo Baggins and his companions Sam, Merry, and Pippin were taken by the Barrow-wights, Bombadil rescued them on Fatty Lumpkin.^[1] Lumpkin earlier had befriended the Hobbits' ponies during their stay at Bombadil's house, and when the ponies escaped from Bree, they went back to Bombadil's house, mainly to see Lumpkin.^[2]
