Faramir Took was a Hobbit of the Shire and the son of Peregrin Took and Diamond of Long Cleeve. He was also the thirty-third Shire-thain.
Biography[]
Faramir was born in FO 10 (SR 1430) and he later married Goldilocks Gardner in FO 42 (SR 1463). He inherited the title of Shire-thain in FO 63 (SR 1484), after Peregrin and Meriadoc left for Edoras and Gondor in that year. Pippin named Faramir Took after Faramir, Steward of Gondor and Prince of Ithilien.[1][2]
