Fanuidhol was a mountain in the Misty Mountains, and was adjacent to Caradhras and Celebdil, and were some of the greatest peaks in the Misty Mountains.
Fanuidhol, Caradhras, and Celebdil provided the ceiling of the ancient Dwarven city of Khazad-dûm.[1]
Etymology[]
Fanuidhol is a Sindarin name with "fanui-" meaning [Cloudy], and "-dhol' meaning [helm]. Its name in Khuzdûl was Bundushathûr, meaning "Cloudyhead".[citation needed]
