Faniel was a Ñoldorin Elf-maiden in earlier versions of J.R.R. Tolkien's legendarium. She was the third daughter of Finwë Ñoldóran and Indis; sister of Fingolfin, Finarfin, Findis and Írimë and half-sister of Fëanor.
History[]
Faniel was born during the Noontide of Valinor, probably in Tirion. Faniel apparently continued to dwell in Aman and did not join the Rebellion of the Ñoldor.[1][2]
Etymology[]
Perhaps, Faniel means "white daughter" in Quenya.
