Fíriel was a Númenórean noblewoman.
History[]
Fíriel was the daughter of Orontor, a member of the Faithful faction and a friend of Elendil. When her father departed, she was left as a maiden in the household of Elendil. While Elendil and his son were approaching their home, they heard that Fíriel was singing a sad song in Quenya.[1]
Etymology[]
Fíriel is a Quenya name, meaning 'mortal woman'.[2]
