Erelas was one of the Beacon-hills of Gondor in the White Mountains. It overlooked the lowlands of Anórien and was the fourth Beacon-hill from east to west. The beacon upon it was small and thus not always lit, save at times of great urgency.
Prior to the Siege of Gondor in the late Third Age, the beacon upon Erelas was the fourth to be lit to signal Rohan for aid.[1]
