Dagmor[]

Dagmor was a sword that belonged to Beren, in the First Age.

Aranrúth[]

Aranrúth was a sword that belonged to Elu Thingol, King of Doriath; eventually lost with Ar-Pharazôn.

Ringil[]

Ringil was the sword of Fingolfin, the High King of the Ñoldor.

Lhang[]

The Lhang is a shortsword used by both the Galadhrim and the High Elves. It was made to be used in sweeping attacks, and slashing.

Mirkwood double-bladed polearm[]

The Woodland Guard are the soldiers of the Elvenking, sworn to protect and watch over the northern lands of the great forest of the Woodland Realm. Among their weapons is this polearm, crafted with a greenwood shaft and two curved Elven blades forged of bronzed steel with a steel edge of superior strength. It is spun continuously parallel to the Elf's body, or used for stabbing.

Elven Lord sabre[]

These swords were used by high-ranking Elves during the Second and Third Ages. It has a shorter hilt than the normal weapons. At Rivendell, these weapons gradually replaced the Lhang of earlier times, which remained popular in Lindon and Lothlórien. This was likely because the Lord Sabre was easier to use from horseback, a fighting style Imladris favored. Haldir, Arwen, and Elrond all used versions of this sword.

Wood-elven sabre[]

The Wood-elves, less civil than their brethren, use a different kind of sword. It is mainly used from behind a large shield, with slashing and stabbing strokes. It is decorated with wood, cutouts, and carvings. It can also be wielded two handed like the Lhang, bringing powerful slashes with each strike.

Thranduil's swords[]

Thranduil's twin swords are forged from a single piece of steel, hollowed out and decorated with cutouts and runes. These may represent what Sindarin swords used to look like.

Andúril[]

Andúril ("Flame of the West") was the reforged version of Narsil with which Elendil and Isildur vanquished Sauron; later Elendil descendent Aragorn inherited it and used the Anor-stone of Minas Tirith to challenge Sauron; Sauron seeing the sword which had vanquished him centuries before held by a descendent of Elendil leaped to the erroneous conclusion that Aragon had the One Ring and would use its power to attack Mordor; thus Sauron sent his Orc/Goblin army to the Battle of the Morannon; Aragorn's challenge was just diversion was in order to help Frodo and Sam Gamwise destroy the One Ring without an orc Army in their way. Aragorn used Andúril to slay both Gothmog (Lieutenant of Morgul) and the Mouth of Sauron.

Sting[]

Sting was either a short sword or a long dagger found with Glamdring and Orcrist that Bilbo Baggins used to slay spiders in Mirkwood and later Samwise Gamgee used to slay Shelob.

Glamdring and Orcrist[]

Glamdring ("Foe Hammer") was used by Gandalf the Grey to slay the Great Goblin and Orcrist ("Goblin-Clever") was used by Thorin II to kill the White Orc Azog. In the books Orcrist and Glamdring, similar to Sting, would glow blue whenever Orcs/Goblins were near.
