Elmar was a woman of Second Age.
History[]
Elmar was a woman of the Fell Folk of the East, a group of people akin to the Númenóreans in some way. She was married and had many children, but she was kidnapped from her family after the battle of Ishmalog by Buldar, who took her as booty. Buldar married her against her will and the couple had several sons, the youngest of whom was Hazad. Because her sad fate, she was filled of grudge against the people of Agar, to the point that she placed a curse on them, that they should weaken and fade with time. She died when his favorite son Hazad was still young and he married late due to his admiration for her. Hazad called his youngest son Tal-Elmar because he resembled much his late grandmother.[1]
