This article is about the star. For the Vanyar elf, see Elemmírë (elf).

Elemmírë was a star created by Varda signifying the Awakening of the Elves.

Like the rest of the new stars made by Varda just before the Awakening of the Elves, it was made from the silver dews of Telperion stored in the Wells of Varda.[1]

Elemmírë means 'star-jewel' in Quenya a compound fusion of the two words 'elen' and 'mírë'; a situation in which n joined with m becomes mm.[2]
