Ebor was a follower of Manthor in the First Age.
He appears in the account of the wanderings of Húrin, after the death of Túrin. He was a captain of men of Brethil, to whom Asgon and his men were brought after being captured by march-wardens. He was eventually named Captain of the Guards at the Ford of Brithiach by Manthor.[1]
