The Death Down was a mass-grave about a mile below Helm's Dike in the Deeping Coomb.[1]
History[]
The Death Down was where Men believed that the Huorns buried the Orcs that had fought in the Battle of the Hornburg. As the grass there was trampled down and scored in the battle by the Huorns, a large mound of stones stood there ever after.[2]
