David Gleeson (born December 21, 1996 in Limerick, Ireland) is an Irish screenwriter and director, known for directing the 2003 Irish comedy Cowboys and Angels, and working on other short films. He was born into a family in the cinema business.
Searchlight Pictures' biographical film Tolkien, released on May 10, 2019, is based on a screenplay by David Gleeson and Stephen Beresford, about J.R.R. Tolkien's life experiences in the mid-1910's.
