Chris Smith (born 1964) has been the Tolkien-editor of HarperCollins Publishers in Britain since 1999, and is the author of both The Lord of the Rings: Weapons and Warfare and The Lord of the Rings: A Filmmaking Journey, both concerning Peter Jackson's first film trilogy.
He also edited three of Jude Fisher's books: The Fellowship of the Ring Visual Companion, The Two Towers Visual Companion, and The Return of the King Visual Companion.
