The Chilean Tolkien Society (or, by its original name, in Spanish, Sociedad Tolkien Chilena, short form, STC) is the Tolkien society based on Santiago, Chile.
History[]
It was founded on 1999 by Susan Christien and others. Its current head is Ignacio Téllez (namely Belsar). The society seems to be both a literary and social group. It main goal is to study, promote, and discuss the works of Tolkien. They also aim to promote an interest in literature and reading in general.
The group has at least five Smials (factions).
