Bruce Allpress (August 25, 1930 – April 23, 2020) was a New Zealand actor known for portraying Aldor in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
Allpress appears in only once scene, where his character is shown as a Rohirrim bowman at the ready as Saruman's army gathers in front of the Hornburg. Aldor's hand slips, releasing an arrow and killing the first Uruk of the army.
The internet took this scene and modified and edited it several times, giving the character the title of "Bowmaster" in which he was responsible for all the major victories by his legendary aim and skill. This was further added to in a tribute video after Allpress' death.
He is otherwise known for providing the voice of Master Phant in Power Rangers Jungle Fury.
