Brood Mother is a spider enemy created by Fantasy Flight Games for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game. She is encountered in the Beneath the Sands adventure pack.
Description[]
Brood Mother is the matriarch of a spider colony located in the southern foot hills of Ephel Dúath. Her exact origins are unknown; she may be lost daughter of Ungoliant that had fled from Nan Dungortheb amid the sinking of Beleraind. She is far larger than most other large spiders, and is protected by her offspring, a twisting tunnel network, and sheets of webs.
The Brood Mother's biggest threat to players is her ability to summon more spiders to assist her.
