Borlach is an Easterling enemy created by Fantasy Flight Games for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game. He is encountered in The Land of Sorrow adventure pack.
Biography[]
Borlach is an Easterling taskmaster who is serving under Thane Ulchor in Núrn. From his appearance, it might suggest that his is the executioner, killing any unruly slaves who stepped out of line or slacked off on their work repeatedly.
His armor is a brown fur, lamellar, and an iron helm. He carries a two-handed war hammer and what appears to be a shield on his back, and a short sword in his belt.
Strategy[]
Borlach's biggest threat to the players is his attack strength and his special ability. He is immune to player card effects and the tanged and sentinel keywords from other players; also, excessive damage (damage that goes beyond a character's health) must be dealt to addition characters the engaged player controls. The best way to defend against him, is to either use characters with 4 or more defense and/or have healing cards to regenerate heal. It is best not to sacrifice weaker characters to him unless you would lose a hero instead. To defeat him, it is best to use either many 2-3 attack strength characters or with a few high attack characters.
