Bob was a resident of Bree.
Biography[]
Bob worked at the stables near the inn of The Prancing Pony. His counterpart was Nob, who worked as a servant at the inn. They were both hired by Barliman Butterbur, and make very minor appearances in the books; Nob more so than Bob, due only to his "slow-coachery".[1][2]
In adaptations[]
Bob appeared in the 1981 BBC radio adaptation of the The Lord of the Rings and was voiced by Haydn Wood. Bob also appeared in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (video game), but not in the film.
