Hey you guys,
I have a question regarding the scene in The Desolation of Smaug where Bilbo meets Smaug. I watched the DVD today and realised the term 'Burglarobbit' is nowhere to be found.
Was it in that scene? I'm a bit confused.

I was looking, and apparently there is going to be a fight scene between Bain, Bard's son, and Smaug. Is Peter Jackson changing it where Bain will kill Smaug instead of Bard? I hope not, because that's how Bard became king in The Hobbit book. Your thoughts?

Another movie
I know every one is hyped and excited for The Hobbit there and back again to come out on the 17th of December . But to finish off The Lord of the Rings franchise Peter jackson could make a movie about The Last alliance of Elves and Men and the movie could show us what happened and the great batlles which happened . Elves coming to the aid of men for the last time
HI guys im a really big fan of The Lord of the RIngs trilogy and The hobbit trilogy and one thing that i have always wanted to know was how many elves lost their lives in The battle of Hornburg whilst coming to the aid of Rohan . We see in the movie that Haldir's death is shown and we see that many elves die either as the Uruk-hai are advancing to the wall or losing their lives when the berseker blows the wall and as they charge into the Uruk-hai pikes can anyone like give me rough estimate please ?

How great would it be to finally view Middle-Earth in 3D?
It's a pretty neat idea right?
I'm not saying it would be easy but just imagine using a software that 'Google Maps' uses?
Imagine being able to go in 'street view' at Hobbiton, Minas Tirith or even Gondolin (in the silmarillion) and also the Mines of Moria.

Smaug vs Modern Earth.
Vedui! I am Ethan.walling.33, welcolme to my first blog post. Here i will discuss what weapons from a modern Earth millitary could be used to kill Smaug. These include (But are not limited to):
- Bazookas
- Assult Weapons

Top 5 most amazing, powerful and moving scenes in the Lord of the Rings trilogy
The Lord of the Rings film trilogy is full of epic battles, iconic scenes and beautiful locations. Many of the scenes stand out, and choosing a top five was very difficult. However, after much pondering, I have come up with (in my opinion) the five most powerful, moving and stunning scenes in the cinematic trilogy. Enjoy!

Lego Hobbit Petition
So a lego hobbit game has been announced in 2014. But it currently seems it will only contain events from An Unexpected Journey and The Desolation of Smaug. If you enjoyed playing the Lego LOTR game then you will probably enjoy playing a Lego Hobbit game; but without the complete trilogy in the game, it will probably take away some fun of it. Why does Australia (where I live) get The Desolation of Smaug on boxing day when pretty much the rest of the world gets it on december 13th/14th. It is so unfair! we get it two weeks late! does anybody know why? I know its kinda tradition for it to come out on Boxing day here but still it's unfair!

Imagine Smaug befor watching the movie
I know that Hobbit: Desolation of smaug has just been released and all, but befor watching it, look at some images of smaug off the internet. I already have an idea of what he looks like in my head, and I must say, he is the most EPIC dragon I have ever seen! If you have not yet seen the movie, please tell me what you see. In my opinion, the final piice to the Smaug puzzle was an image of him on the side of an airplane.

Ok i went on IMDB and looked at the Hobbit TDOS page, and then i looked at the cast. I was surprised. Lawrence Makoare is playing Bolg. Is that correct? I thought Conan Stevens was? Another question i have- is Bolg even in TDOS? I have read reviews for the movie but i cant find any information about him.

Stupid polls!
I just noticed that one of the polls on the main page for the LOTR Wikia is 'Which movie do you think stayed closest to the book?' or something like that. To my honest surprise, Fellowship of the Ring got top billing (by a freaking mile!). I personally think that it is probably the furthest from the books, and here are my reasons.
The first is that a hell of a lot of parts are missing. The Old Forest, Tom Bombadil, Bill Ferny, Buckland, Glorfindel and a bunch more. The Two Towers kept a lot of scenes, even if it was done on a slightly different timeline. Meanwhile, the Fellowship movie glances over the fact that Pippin travelled with Frodo and Sam from Bag End, Frodo stayed in the Shire for nearly two decades after Bilbo's party and the com…

New Orc???
I was watching the new
Hobbit production diary 12 and found a interesting part of it. If you pause the video at 0:15 there seems to be a new orc (it shows the unfinished part of it). The orc appears to looks like Azog, but it isn't him as it does not have a missing arm. Also, on it's forehead there appears to be metal plates similar to those of Bolg. Is this a new orc, or is it a redesign of Bolg? Perhaps one of Bolg's bodyguards?
Does anyone think Fili and Kili should get their own pages?

Desolation of Smaug End Credits Song Revealed - Listen Now
The end credits song for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug has been revealed and the lucky artist is Ed Sheeran! His song "I See Fire" is new and just for the movie, and even cooler is that EVERY instrument on “I See Fire” except for cello was performed by Sheeran himself! Check out the song below.
What do you think? Is this the right song for the end? It's a little odd not to hear some majestic orchestral number, but this could be a nice change. The lyrics also seem like a good fit for all the events we're expecting to see in the movie!

Did the dwarves inhabit helms deep at the end of the fourth age? Or did they just take control of the Glittering Caves behind Helms deep? There's still a few more months before The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is out in theaters, but fans have been treated to TWO more pieces of promotional art for the movie! Check out the images below!
The first is from the famous barrel scene in the book, and, by the funny looks on the dwarves' faces, we're excited to see it acted out on the big screen! The second image is a new poster showing Smaug's giant eye reflecting poor Bilbo Baggins. We can't wait until the hobbit finally meets the dragon (voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch)!
