The Hammer, Black Hand and Tower of Sauron.
The Black Captains were three of Sauron's most trusted servants.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor[]
Each represented a side of Sauron, the Black Hand of Sauron was that of lying, deceit and manipulation, the Tower of Sauron was the horror and viciousness of Sauron and the Hammer of Sauron was power and might. They were among the highest ranking members of Sauron's forces, with similar status to Agandaûr and the Nazgûl during the War of the Ring. They answered only to the Dark Lord himself. Formerly Men, they had been corrupted and transformed into beings of sheer evil and malevolence and were bound by their absolute loyalty to the Dark Lord.
