The Battle of Cirith Ungol was a vague fight between the Orc-company of Gorbag from Minas Morgul and the Black Uruks of Shagrat stationed at Cirith Ungol, over Frodo Baggins' mithril vest. It took place in the Tower of Cirith Ungol.

History Edit

The conflict commenced after Shagrat and Gorbag's adverse quarrel over Frodo's vest. The fight allowed Samwise Gamgee to sneak into the tower to find Frodo and rescue him. Every soldier stationed at the tower was killed except Shagrat and a few other Black Uruks, who were later killed (as was Gorbag). Shagrat alone managed to get away, and made for Barad-dûr with the mithril coat[1].
