Baranor was a Man of Gondor. Some time during his life he married and had a son named Beregond. It is unknown if he had other children.

Baranor was the father of Beregond, a Captain of Gondor. He may have lived in Ithilien and the vales of the White Mountains.[1]
Etymology[]
Baranor may mean "Fierce Fire" from bara ("fierce") and naur ("fire").[2]

- In The Lord of the Rings Online, Baranor is found in Arnach, the city of Lossarnach that serves as the seat of Lord Forlong. Baranor is the Captain of the City's Guard, leading its defence in his Lord's absence.
