Auredhir was the son of Dior, son of Beren and Lúthien, and Nimloth, Dior's Elven wife, in earlier versions of J.R.R. Tolkien's legendarium.
Biography[]
Aurhedir is described as being very lovable, and was said to greatly resemble his grandfather Beren. He was slain by the sons of Fëanor in the Second Sack of Doriath, while his sister Elwing managed to escape.[1]
Other versions of the legendarium[]
In later accounts, the character of Auredhir was replaced by the twin sons of Dior, Eluréd and Elurín.
