Argalad is a Silvan Hero created by Fantasy Flight Games for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game. Players can get him as a playable hero in The Drowned Ruins adventure pack.
Biography[]
Argalad's armor is that of elven plate with ring mail underneath and a elven cloak for camouflage and protection from the weather. His only weapon shown is a quiver of arrows (and can be presumed a bow) which makes him skilled as an archer. Elves where very skilled in the arts of forging and smithing, some of which was learned from the Dwarves in the days of old.
Etymology[]
The name Argalad means 'kingly light', from the prefix Ar(a), meaning 'kingly'; and galad, meaning 'light'.
Card usage[]
In the card game, Argalad is largely associated with attacking or using his ability. His best use is with attachments that buff his attack and also that can refresh him. Argalad's willpower of 2 is good for him to be used for questing regularly, especially if you can refresh in afterwards. His attack value of 2 is good enough for him to be used as an attacker regularly, especially because of his ranged ability, however, some enemies will take a few turns to die if Argalad is attacking alone. Argalad's defense of 1 is pretty weak to use of him as a defender and his health of 4 does not last very long against enemies with an attack value of 3 or more.
