Ar-Sakalthôr (SA 2876 - SA 3102, r. SA 3033 - SA 3102) was the 22nd ruler of Númenor. He followed the royal tradition of turning away from the ways of the Valar. He succeeded his father Ar-Zimrathôn as King, ruling Númenor for sixty-nine years, and was succeeded by his son, Ar-Gimilzôr. The traditional Quenya version of his name was "Tar-Falassion" [1]. It means "Shore-son" or "Child of the Shore".
