Amazon Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios is a division of Amazon, Inc. that has produced and distributed film and TV since 2010. All of its original productions are released solely to Amazon Prime Video. It began making films in 2015, and in 2017 no longer relied on external studios to promote and distribute productions.

Amazon Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios is based in Los Angeles, California, and headed by Jennifer Salke.

In November 2017, Amazon Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios obtained the rights, in a $250 million deal, to develop a TV series adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth history titled The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. This show, made in conjunction with Warner Bros. and HarperCollins publishers, premiered in September 2022. In July 2018, J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay were selected as its initial showrunners. The full initial crew (producers, writers, and head designers) was revealed in a Facebook video called "Meet our Fellowship" in July 2019.
