A Tolkien Compass: Fascinating Studies and Interpretations of J.R.R. Tolkien's Most Popular Epic Fantasies is a collection of writings based off of J.R.R. Tolkien's books and related lore. These writings were edited by University of Wisconsin Tolkien Society member, Jared Lobdell.
The first edition was published in 1975, with a second edition released in 1980 and a third in 2003, with a Foreword by Tom Shippey.
