A Magpie's Nest (www.amagpiesnest.com) was a privately run website, established in 2003, devoted to the soundtracks of Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings film trilogy and to Howard Shore. It featured articles on each track, with minute-by-minute analysis and narration on the events of the film when the track plays, and its lyrics. It organized the tracks by familiar themes (e.g. Rohan, the One Ring, Gondor, etc.).
Among other things, the site provided access to interviews with Shore, official information about presentations done by Shore and Doug Adams, and linear notes to the Complete Recordings.
