Hiril est une Haladin du Premier Âge, fille de Halmir et sœur de Haldir[1].

Les dates de naissance et de décès de Hiril ne sont pas connues.
Hiril se marie à Enthor, et a une fille, Meleth[1]. Cette dernière est la mère de Hunthor, compagnon d'arme de Túrin Turambar lors de son expédition contre Glaurung[2], et de Manthor, qui soutiendra Húrin Thalion lorsqu'il viendra en Brethil[1].
