Why didn't the Valar imprison Morgoth in the end in the Halls of Mandos from where nobody (nor Valar) can escape? Why did they send him into the void from where he escapes in the end for the Dagor Dagorath, when they could keep him in the Halls of Mandos instead and chill?

@ARoyalPrincess yeh its possible that Valar didnt want to deal with him/they knew they couldnt hold him forever (bcs they would give him mercy in time) so they just sent him into the void.
And about Dagor Dagorath… I don’t know I think it would be nice ending …I like this “theory” …

@Patjreed Yeh that could be it :D I wondered why would Ilúvatar let Morgoth destroy the world by Dagor Dagorath but now I realized that maybe he has done it so the world can be remade in the second song as it was meant to be. And after the second song the world would be cleared from any evil etc…

If we’re talking about his look - the best one is from Shadow of War… I enjoyef fighting him really much. His voice etc.
But if we’re talking about his character and his deeds - the best one is simply the OG from the books.. that is Sauron how Tolkien made him and how he was meant to be.

I have read it in my national language (czech) as my first tolkien book (lol) and now I bought myself the new limited edition with Tolkien’s drawings for Christmas and I am reading it again. And so far I don’t have problem with the english text and I am enjoying it again and maybe even more. I love the book! For me it is like Tolkien’s Bible. Every real fan of Tolkien’s world should read it!
This is how the new limited edition of Silmarillion looks like without the slip case.

Boromir. There would be more spontaneous moments and more fun with him I think. Sometimes he would be dumb and have dumb ideas but I could overcome it :D And he would certainly be loyal and would stick with me and be there for me. He would be really good friend.

Númenor. Erebor is too complex for me. I’d like to explore the nature, sail around, ride a horse across the countryside … enjoy the city too. I think that there is more to do in Númenor.

I don’t really know about any multifunctional tool for reading it. But if you are excited about lotr etc.. you can watch a video on each character you don’t know on Nerd Of The Rings which is a very good channel. You also have some help in the end of the book (on the other side) but I bet you know about that. I read it without bigger problems except in one chapter where is a hell amount of names and relations…but in general I believe if you really focus you can do it :)
