Do hobbits go to the Halls of Mandos or have the same fate as humans (or something else)?

I’ve read The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Tales from the Perilous Realm, and the Beowulf translation, and I’m currently reading The Silmarillion…

Here’s a quote from the wiki page on the eagles: “In earlier texts, Tolkien once envisioned the Great Eagles as bird-shaped Maiar.[15] However, he had remembered that he abandoned the concept of the Children of the Valar, and that Gwaihir and Landroval were descendants of Thorondor during the events of The Lord of the Rings. Eventually, Tolkien decided that the Great Eagles were animals that had been "taught language by the Valar, and raised to a higher level — but they still had no fëar."[16]”
Here’s a nice breakdown! https://youtu.be/ksTTS0aCEc8
I had originally thought of it as “Smog,” but then I found it was supposed to be “Smowg.” :)
Great question! I agree with all of your reasons. :) I also appreciate how clean and refreshing the books are. (I haven't seen the movies but have heard they're good.) Tolkien's works are my standard for excellence in fantasy.
Probably could! :)
Thanks for the info!
I was wondering that too…It’s quite possible, I think, considering that the Eagles are a proud and powerful species.
It's interesting that hobbits might have a separate hall; thanks for suggesting that!
True, Lembas is nothing like Po-ta-toes...
Exactly!! :D

My mom gave me the Hobbit, and my friend gave me LOTR for my last birthday!
Taking all these things into consideration, I think it was the right decision to not use the Eagles as a taxi service…
I like that; thank you!
I'd like to be one of the House of the Golden Flower; I would name my sword Bane of Evil (whatever that would be in Quenya ;).
Hannon le and Mae govannen to both of you!
I really want to read the Silmarillion, I just need to get a copy. :)
Hi, I’m new to this wiki.
I have read and enjoyed The Hobbit, LOTR, Tales from the Perilous Realm, and Beowulf.
I haven’t yet read the Silmarillion, but I’ve read a lot of the pages in this wiki, so I have a pretty good sense of the events. :)
Looking forward to reading more!
