You have a point. I'm more worried about them mangling the story.
I'm hoping they do backstories for the Ringwraiths. I'm also hoping that Amazon doesn't make a hash of the Second Age like Jackson did with The Hobbit. It will be interesting to see Numenor.
Sorry if that was rude. I tend to get snarky when discussing the Hobbit movies.
Dwarves do not fall in love with Elves! Even Legolas and Gimli's friendship was very unusual. The Hobbit does not need love triangles in it.
@HoboSapien I like your ideas. They would made those consarned moves much better. I think that Peter Jackson should have made it one move or maybe two if he would use the extra time to make it more faithful, but three dratted movies which are something like 11 or 12 hours combined is too much. Now I think I will stop grumbling and go drown my sorrows in books.
That dratted elf lady Tauriel. I know, Iknow, some people like her and there are no female charcters in the Hobbit, but that does not means that the Hobbit movies needed to have a flaming love triangle.
I mean real life history and mythology, like the old Norse myths.
Interesting theory. How did you come up with that?
Read history books and books of old mythology. Those are things that inspire me because I love old tales
Not weird. I do that too.
They are unnamed in Tolkien's works, but there are various uncanonical names that people have invented for them.
@Fandyllic I loved The Earthsea Cycle. I liked The Tombs of Atuan, where Ged rescues Arha, but my favorite would have to be the first book, A Wizard of Earthsea.
Claire means clear.
Do you want it in English or in Black Speech?
English: One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.
Black Speech: Ash nazg durbatuluk, ash nazg gimbatul, ash nazg thrakatuluk, agh burzum-ishi krimpatul.
22/25 I like both the movies and the books.
I looked your name up and it is derived from κόρη (korē) which means girl/maiden in Greek. So I guess your name would be Riel or Selde in Quenya.
Maybe try getting an audiobook of LOTR. Audiobooks are usually helpful if you want to read a long book/series of books. I like to listen to a book and do something with my hands at the same time, such as draw or fill in coloring pages.
I think he had some kind of body, based on Gollum saying that he had nine fingers.
Gandalf is a Maia, so he is as old as the land of Middle Earth or older
My favorite characters are the Hobbits. If I had to pick one, it would be Frodo or Merry. I also like Gimli. My favorite parts are the poems in the books and the scene in the Fellowship of the Ring movie when Frodo wakes up in Rivendell. For some reason, I am fascinated with the Nazgul (Ringwraiths). I am fascinated with the scenes with Nazgul in them and very annoyed with them at the same time.
